Get to Know Frankie

The Delapas family farm along the Tygart Valley River has been part of Marion County life for generations. Today, Frankie and his family welcome neighbors to Poplar Island Pumpkins for pumpkins, hayrides, corn mazes, and the traditions that make autumn in West Virginia special.

For Frankie, that sense of home, hard work, and community isn’t a campaign talking point. It’s part of how he was raised—and part of why he wants to serve District 74.

At Fairmont State University, Frankie was active in the Student Government Association as he earned degrees in Business and Healthcare Management.  He works in the College of Nursing as a Professional Advisor and Academic Success Coordinator, he's proud to serve the university community that helped shape him.

Frankie sees the determination and potential of West Virginians who want to stay and build their lives here—and the challenges that can stand in their way.

From rising costs and limited opportunities, to a state government that can feel far removed from everyday life, Frankie is running for the West Virginia House of Delegates to bring a new generation of leadership to Charleston, with a focus on the issues affecting Marion County and the people who call it home.

Frankie believes West Virginia’s future is worth investing in—and District 74 deserves a voice in shaping it.

BUILD A FUTURE HERE

West Virginians should be able to earn a good living and build a good life in the communities they call home.  Frankie believes that starts with good-paying jobs, fair wages, strong public schools, affordable colleges and union trade programs are the foundations of opportunity for people at every stage of life.

Frankie opposes Right to Work and supports repealing it. He supports collective bargaining and the right of workers to organize for better wages, benefits, and working conditions.

He also believes we should invest in education, workforce development, and local businesses so the next generation has more opportunities to stay while the people who have built our communities can continue to thrive.

INVEST IN OUR COMMUNITIES

Strong communities are built on the things we all depend on: good schools, safe roads and bridges, clean water, reliable infrastructure, affordable places to live, and neighborhoods where families can put down roots.

Frankie believes in properly funding our public schools and making sure teachers, school employees, and students have the resources they need. He also supports investment in dependable water and sewer systems, roads, bridges, and the basic infrastructure that keeps communities safe and creates opportunities for growth.

Frankie wants Marion County communities to remain places we're proud to call home—and places future generations will be proud to call home, too.

MAKE GOVERNMENT WORK FOR US

Frankie believes government should be accessible, transparent, and accountable—and elected officials should spend more time listening to the people they represent than talking at them.

He supports restoring and protecting home rule so communities have a meaningful voice in decisions affecting their neighborhoods, growth, and future. Frankie also supports reproductive freedom and has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood.

Whether the decision affects your family, your workplace, or the community you call home, Frankie believes the people affected deserve a voice. He wants to bring a fresh perspective to Charleston and make sure District 74 has a government that listens and works for the people it serves.
